Canby Coaches
Nathan Templeman is a longtime member of the Canby swim community. He swam for Canby Swim Club from 1985–1991 and began coaching with the program in 1993, with brief breaks while completing his undergraduate degree from 1997–2000. He also coached at Forest Grove Swim Club and Pacific University from 2003–2007.
Over his career, Nathan has coached athletes at every level—from developmental swimmers to collegiate athletes, including Junior National qualifiers, national-level competitors, and Olympic Trials participants.
In addition to coaching, Nathan has served in multiple roles at the Canby Swim Center and currently serves as the Aquatic Manager. He has also contributed to the sport through leadership within Oregon Swimming, including brief service on the OSI Board of Directors in 2017, and was recognized with the OSI Tenure Award (2018) and Coaching Excellence Award (2020).
